Writing & The Creative Grind

I’m Finally Here!!! (And, Yes, I Brought All My Tabs with Me)

Hello!!! Let me start by saying, “Thanks for stopping by!” I know you don’t know me, so let me introduce myself. My name is Wendy (or WendyWanda if you’re feeling adventurous). I’m currently a 40-something GenX working mom with more interests than I know what to do with. Why, you may ask? Because being neurodiverse has made my life incredibly interesting.

It only took me 27 years, 154 cups of tea, 12 notebooks, and more computer tabs than I can count open at any given time to get here — but here I am! Too Many Tabs blog with yours truly is officially live!!!

If you’ve stumbled across this corner of the internet, you should know something upfront:
I’m more interesting than the Dos Equis guy (not bragging, more of a warning of things to come). I have had a rollercoaster of a life so far and I still have a ways to go (hopefully). I’m also not here to show you around my niche — problem is I don’t have one. Physically impossible for me. In fact, if what everyone else does worked for me, this blog wouldn’t exist.

Instead, I’m here for the people who…

Have three or more tabs open for three (or more!) completely different projects (and consider that a normal Tuesday).

Can hold a marketing strategy conversation in the morning and be elbow-deep in sourdough starter by night.

Have been told “you’re doing too much” more times than you can count.

If that’s you — welcome home, you have found your new tribe!

So, Who Am I Really?

Well, I’m Wendy — mama, wifey, marketing strategist, writer, speaker, wellness nerd, fitness ‘burger in my mouth’ kind of girl, and an all-around multipotentialite. (If that word sounds new, don’t worry — it just means “a person with many passions and no intention of giving any of them up.” It’s a thing.)

For years, I tried to squeeze myself into the “one career path, one passion, one box” mold — Spoiler: it didn’t work. Instead, I learned how to embrace my ‘and ‘ life: marketer and storyteller, strategist and creator, curious and ambitious.

This blog is me putting all of that on the table, finally, instead of hiding half of who I am depending on the room I’m in. Yes, that’s been a thing for me, sadly. We’ll be talking more about that later.

What You’ll Find Here

Posts on navigating multiple passions without losing your mind.
Tools for designing a life and career that can actually fit you.
A little humor, a little honesty, and probably the occasional kitchen metaphor (because yes, I also cook like I work: with spices and maybe the occasional recipe).

Why Now?

Because the world needs multipotentialites more than ever. And we need people to understand there is nothing wrong with that. We’re the bridge-builders, the creative problem-solvers, the people who refuse to accept there’s only one way to work, live, or thrive. Because there’s NOT.

And honestly? Because I got tired of waiting for “the right time” to start. (It doesn’t exist, btw. “Do it and do it now” should be a motto.)

One Small Ask

If you’re reading this, first — thank you for finding me! Seriously, from the bottom of my heart. It’s been lonely in my little corner of the internet.

Second — I’d love for you to stick around and maybe even share this with your favorite fellow passion-chasers, whoever they may be. Because this isn’t just my blog. It’s the beginning of a community; a place where we can all stop hiding who we really are and start celebrating that we’re all unique in our own ways and more than enough.

So here’s to doing all the things. Together. Finally.

– Wendy
